Meet Dr. P!

Hi! I am Dr. Donna Poppendieck, more commonly known in the college classroom as Dr. P. I have been involved in the addiction treatment and prevention community for over 20 years and have been teaching mental health inuniversities, at professional conferences, and elsewhere for about 15 years. Having grown up in a family with drug abuse, and having successfully healed myself from autoimmune disease, I am always interested in exploring legitimate, evidence-based pathways to full and complete health and recovery - in thoughts, feelings, body, and spirit - for any and all interested people. This course explores some evidence-based information in the field of healing nutrition and nutrigenomics, or how nutrition can impact gene expression and create health. I include supplements within the category of nutrition. We look at ways to heal ourselves and maintain health in a sweeping manner, including a special look at preventing and treating addiction, covering such areas as our physical body, our thoughts and feelings, all of which inevitably affect our behavioral choices, and yes, even our spirituality. Enjoy!
