Nobody wants to hear the dreaded C word – cancer. Although many advancements have been made in conventional treatment approaches and outcomes are brighter than ever before, most likely just about everyone would rather not get this diagnosis!

The American Cancer Society (2023) predicted that nearly 2 million new cancer cases and over 600,000 cancer deaths will have occurred in the US in 2023. (At the time of this writing, 2023 data has not been fully collected and tallied.)

According to the National Cancer Institute (2023), people feel many emotions when finding out they have cancer. They might feel overwhelmed, scared, worried, anxious, angry, depressed, and lonely, to name a few; on the other hand, they may also feel hopeful and, yes, even grateful. Fear not! There are many wonderful treatment approaches available now available from a variety of valid, scientific sources. These include conventional, alternative, and integrative, to name some major realms here in the US.
